This is a Great restaurant. From the moment you walk in on to this beautiful place we were greeted Lena K the Host. Lena has a beautiful smile and she took us to a great table facing their beutiful waterfall. Our Server Kevin C and Adam provided outstanding customer service! Kevin answered all of our questions about our special dinner and they all made this dinner very special. The food was outstanding! In addition they also have a great wine list. Kevin brought my wife an excellent tasty cheesecake. Rico the manager came by to make sure our evening went well.

Best meal in Maui!
Rack of lamb - excellent!
Pork & veggie dumplings - excellent!
Crab cake - maybe the best I’ve ever had.
Truffle fries - perfect crispiness and saltiness.
Mahi mahi - solid, the saffron rice was amazing!
Definitely coming back asap.

Son’z Steakhouse is located inside the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere which includes a beautiful waterfall, swans and ducks gracefully swimming outside an inconspicuous wire netting that you barely know is there. The atmosphere is very romantic regardless of if you are dinning for breakfast or dinner. The best part about this dining experience is hands down the atmosphere. The service is also amazing, actually one of the best I have had. The staff are very attentive and are wonderful. We would definitely give breakfast a consistent 5 stars. Dinner was very good. We had the lamb, Brussels spouts, and salad. They have a great menu but it is a bit pricey. We spent over 300 dollars for the meal not including dessert and with 2 drinks. Breakfast with our package ran us 98 dollars a day for 2 people. Overall wonderful experience!!!!

Amazing restaurant with an overall excellent level of service and cuisine. The ambiance is what you would expect from a Maui resort as well. I had a Mai Tai and that baby was tasty and STRONG!
We had top tier mushrooms and truffle fries. The wagyu steak was 9/10. A bit more gristle than I would have liked, but still delicious. Lamb was also very good.

For the price, which was high even for Hawaii, the filet should have been better (it was relatively tough, but it had good flavor), the crème brûlée should have been firmer (it was like a somewhat unset pudding), and the caesar salad dressing should have had more flavor, and they should have used shaved parmesan cheese instead of the little round pieces that come in a package.
And, personally, I thought the twice cooked baked potato was a bit too whipped, it was almost like they put mashed potato into the skin of the baked potato … a twice baked potato should have some firmness to it.
But, we enjoyed the drinks and the server, Delfina, was a joy and a credit to Son’z.
In short, the atmosphere was superb … getting to sit right next to the swan’s night nesting area … and the server was delightful … but the food was not even close to being good enough to warrant the price, even so.
