My wife and I couldn’t have had a better time. Neither of us had surfed before but Brooks got us surfing in no time. He was funny and nice as could be. He gave us perfect instructions on how to stay safe and we ended up being able to catch waves almost the entire time with his help. Brooks was a super patient instructor. Would definitely come back here, the rest of the staff was great as well. Definitely come try this out. They even had a professional photographer taking pictures of everyone.

This was my first time surfing and it was really fun. My instructor, J, was really nice and funny, but told you what you needed to know. He helped me get the hang of it really fast. Overall, great experience, I highly recommend it!

The best time at my first ever surf lesson!! The whole crew at Surf Shack Maui were so kind, welcoming and helpful. I had a group lesson with Mike and Santi. They were clearly very experienced in teaching and able to meet each student where they were at. I struggled with remembering all the steps. Mike helped me work backwards to gain confidence on waves, starting with me halfway up on the board and then eventually independently paddling and catching waves. I had a minor mix up with bookings which everyone helped to seamlessly fix. I even received a call from the owner confirming the fix which really shows how much they care. The photographer Kylee is amazing! My grandparents were overjoyed when I sent them the photos from my surf experience. I had so much fun! Check them out!!

Our family enjoyed our surfing lessons with Surf Shack Maui. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. A special shout-out to our instructor, Ivan! He was awesome, knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and ensured we enjoyed our surfing lesson. I would highly recommend Surf Shack Maui to anyone wanting to learn how to surf while having fun! 🏄♀️

Fantastic lessons and photos of the adventure. My husband and son had a blast and got up on their boards a couple times toward the end. Their instructor was Mike and he was super cool and patient. Neither of them had any surfing experience when they started. There was also a photographer in the water and she got some amazing photos that we will treasure forever. High recommend.
