Delicious! We have been eating here for 15+ years and have always loved it! Today, I enjoyed the fish tacos, my husband had Mahi burgers, and my son loved the veggie quesadilla. It’s a nice environment with plenty of seating options, especially if you come in for an early dinner or late lunch.

We were there for a late lunch. The food was good and unique as I had never eaten a ahi burger before. It was good and odd at the same time. The burger had cold slaw on it as well which was gave it a crispy and tasty touch. My wife had fish tacos with cubed fried potatoes and rice. I tried hers as well and it was very good. Have to love crispy cold slaw! The staff was friendly and prompt. There was plenty of seating pic nic style tables. Out door seating as well. Seems like a great place for casual dining occasions. Plenty of parking around back.

The literal best fish sandwich I've ever had in my entire life. Great menu to choose from. Many options on how you want your fish. Everything was fresh. Homemade tartar sauce. You're gonna wish you could take a bucket of it with you. The staff is SO nice. They will take care of you. Also get the local fruit drink. Get it. It's so good. The place is very comfortable. Great stools that actually fit your butt and very clean. Sit at the window bar and you can people watch. We will be going back, definitely.
Update: we went back almost every day of our stay.

Tried Paia Fish Market on our way back from Hāna — arrived Sunday around lunchtime and, while the line was long, it moved surprisingly fast. They run a tight operation: after ordering, food was served within 5–6 minutes.
We ordered the catch of the day (Mahi Mahi) — Cajun-style and blackened — along with rice, Caesar salad, and fried calamari. The fish was undeniably fresh and seasoned to perfection — flavorful and satisfying. However, considering the portion size and pricing, it felt a bit overpriced.
Staff were attentive, but not particularly warm — perhaps due to the rush of tourist traffic. Just a heads up: this isn’t your typical laid-back, no-frills island shack — it’s a fast-moving, high-volume operation.
Overall, I’d recommend it for the quality of the fish, just set your expectations accordingly when it comes to vibe and price.

The food was delicious! It is pricey but you do get a lot of food, the portions are big in my opinion. The restaurant itself is small and has limited seating. It also had no air conditioning so your sweating while eating. Regardless I would definitely add this restaurant to your list of places to try while in Maui it was worth the money and wait!
