So glad that we had this AMAZING experience! We were a little unsure if our family wanted to take surfing lessons, but we ALL agree this was one of our favorite things we did on our trip in Maui. David our instructor did a great job at teaching us all to be successful surfers. He also made sure we got the most out of our time, riding as many waves as possible! My son struggled a little at first, but David was wonderful working with him and by the end my son felt very confident. My daughter caught on quicker and David gave her a few more challenges to keep her excited. The whole crew really made us feel comfortable and wanted us to have the best experience. Was also very pleased with the smaller group sizes and the area they chose to have us surf. Another company was doing lessons just down from us but had very large groups and less space to work. If we come back we will 100% book this again.

David was very patient and encouraging. My boys had a great time and said they would do it again if they could have David as the instructor. The manager took very good care of us, and I was very impressed from start to finish with this experience.

The highlight of our trip! This was our first trip to Maui and my 10 year old twins just loved surfing with Jesse. We went for one lesson and ended up doing many more. Jesse is a fantastic mix of teacher, cheerleader and playmate. We were just out there having fun and Jesse made sure we got the best of it. There are lot's of surf shops on this beach but I doubt any of them are as good as this one. Thanks Big Kahuna & Jesse for making our holiday such a memorable one.

Jesse is a really great instructor for first time surfers. My wife, who kept eating it, was surfing by the end. Jesse takes time to work with each individual, pointing out how they can improve with each attempt. 10/10 would come back again

Recent trip to Maui. My 9yr old daughter wanted a surf lesson. Big Kahuna was definitely the way to go. Joey was her instructor. He was patient & very good with teaching. She was surfing right away! Pictures by Leilani are well worth it as well. I’m framing one with a sea turtle in the frame.
