This was one of my favorite meals when visiting Maui. I ordered the chicken bbq platter. It had a great smoked flavor, and the chicken was nice and moist, especially because they use thigh meat. My pescatarian friend enjoyed her grilled salmon though thatโs not what theyโre known for. She said it was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh. She felt that the vegetables that came with the fish were fresh too.

This feels like you go to a friend whoโs uncle is Hawaiin and sings songs for everyone and cooks food and then the whole crowd wants to be his new best friend. Pork ribs, bbq chicken, banana bread and Mac salad. 10/10. This is in my opinion might be the most authentic and delicious food on the island!

Not only the best food we got on Maui, but possibly the best pork ribs I've ever had. They were thick and meaty, and fall off the bone tender. The portion was so large, we could not close the lid to the container. The BBQ sauce was tasty but not overpowering. The mac salad was also really good, and I'm not much of a mac salad fan. It had some real veggies in it, and it wasn't overly mayonnaisy. Service was amazing- super friendly. If this place existed within an hour of our home, I'd be fat in no time!

I had looked ahead on the road to Hana before we set off on our journey and scoped out different places to eat and had tucked this place away in my mind. When we passed this spot around 1130am, I said HEY THAT PLACE LOOKED GOOD ONLINE. Well, we drove past but then THE SMELL hit our noses. We turned around lickety split to get on that grub. The bbq chicken and Kalua pork were both phenomenal. I loved the macaroni salad as well. What a cool spot to stop and enjoy some amazing homemade food! I recommend this spot to literally anyone. Go give them your business.
With Verizon phone service I had 4 bars of LTE here. They accept Venmo or cash only.

My gang and I have an inside joke on our last experience here. Long story short, we pulled up to an obviously closed business. Two children greeted us from the porch. We asked if they're closed today, one replied yes, the other no. We asked if they're closed on the weekend and one replied "No, just on Saturday and Sunday". LOL!? So cute. Unfortunately we had to eat elsewhere which wasn't great. Fast forward about two years and we found ourselves here on a Friday and they were open!
MENU:
Chicken, pork, ribs, fish, pastas, tacos.
FOOD:
BBQ Chicken
Having tried their delicious shrimp pasta on my first visit, this was next on my list. It's a huge portion! The boneless skinless thighs were marinated in a mild savory sauce with just a hint of sweetness and perfectly barbecued. Accompaniments are two scoops of rice and a tasty macaroni salad. It wasn't as bold as I was expecting but was still good. Recommended.
Shrimp Pasta
If there's pasta, I HAVE to try it. Damn this was good! The spaghetti was cooked a little more than I'd like, but it had tons of flavor from the 5 pieces of shrimp, cabbage, broccoli and carrots that were sautรฉed in butter and garlic, and topped with fresh parmesan. Good job guys!
Kalua Pork
My friend's dish. This was an odd recipe that he nor any local would expect. While the main stars are pork and cabbage, the flavoring was barbecue sauce. Sweet barbecue sauce. Soaked into the pork. Sorry, but that is not the traditional fare locals are used to (normally it's just salt). I took a bite and cringed as I cannot stand sweet entrees. He had a few bites and took the rest home.
SERVICE:
Food delivery was quick. Counter service was semi-friendly.
TIP:
Go early as they were out of their pasta dishes and BBQ pork ribs when we arrived at around noon.
OVERALL:
Good barbecue and pasta, pass on the kalua pork unless you're into sweet.
