I am so impressed with Driftwood Maui! I ordered a perfume I’d been trying to find and it was sold out everywhere. They had it and not only did it get it quicker than expected they also included a handwritten thank you card which I thought was very sweet especially in our digital driven world. Definitely will be purchasing from again!
We were shopping in Makawao town during Rodeo weekend. Although we were a larger group spread out around the store, we were simply browsing and weren’t being loud or disruptive. At times, the way we were watched throughout our visit made us feel like we had done something wrong. After we left the store and were outside talking, the owner came running after me asking where I had put a necklace I had tried on and insisted I show her. I walked back inside with her and showed her the necklace exactly where I had left it. I understand that staff need to keep track of merchandise, but the way the situation was handled made me feel wrongfully accused and honestly a little profiled. Even after it was clear there had been a mistake, there was no apology. The experience left me pretty anxious for the rest of the day. I’ve never experienced this shopping before. This is a cute store but unfortunately, my group and I won’t be returning after this experience. Based on how we were treated, I would have a hard time recommending this store to others. I hope the owner takes time to reflect on how interactions like this make customers feel, because a little aloha and accountability would have gone a long way.

Driftwood is one of the best boutiques on Maui. You can always find something cute you like for yourself or a gift for that special someone. Highly recommend.
This is my favorite boutique in Makawao! They have some of my favorite brands like Z Supply and LSPACE and I always find something I love!! Also love all the girls that work there, they are the sweetest :)) highly recommend stopping by!
