We had a wonderful time kayaking and snorkeling. All of the equipment was in great shape, and the check-in and get started procedures were a complete breeze. Our guide Katie was amazing and not only kept us safe and upright while kayaking and snorkeling but also imparted a lot of great knowledge of Hawaii and its culture. Not only did Katie lead us around the reefs to see a dozen or more turtles, we also were able to see 3 whales swimming together near our kayaks. Great experience and would definitely recommend. Lowe and Tim were amazing guides. They were kind, knowledgeable, patient, fun, excellent stewards of the water, and so respectful to the whales. This was a truly fantastic experience and we would 100% do it again. We did a group tour and a private tour, both were beyond incredible. Seeing whales and dolphins with our cetacean loving girls will always being a core memory for us. Thank you so much! We loved learning about the Malama Hawaii projects as well.

Our private whale watch with Heather at Hawaiian Paddle Sports was, without question, the most magical experience of our week in Maui.
Being out on the water in a kayak is completely different than being on a boat. It was so still and quiet that at one point we could faintly hear the whale songs from above the surface. That alone felt surreal. We were floating in calm, glassy water with these majestic animals all around us. Whales were breaching in the distance, and at one unforgettable moment, a pair swam right underneath our kayaks. It was breathtaking in the truest sense of the word.
Heather was incredible. Knowledgeable, calm, and clearly so passionate about what she does. I loved learning more about the whales themselves and also hearing about Hawaiian culture and the deep respect for the ocean and its wildlife. It made the entire experience feel even more meaningful.
As if it couldn’t get better, we saw a sea turtle on our paddle back to shore.
Hands down our favorite Maui experience of the week. Peaceful, powerful and absolutely unforgettable. If you’re considering it, book the private tour. It’s something we will never forget.

Katie, our guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate. We had a competition pod of humpbacks swimming directly under us, singing and poking their heads up. Katie sent us tons of pictures and video of our experience same-day. An incredible morning we'll never forget!
