Kayaking & snorkeling off of Olowalu with Heather was one of the most awesome things my son and I have ever done. I can’t speak highly enough about the tour, the educational elements, the views, and the pictures we received afterwards. To say this was a lifetime highlight moment is an understatement. We love West Maui and love snorkeling; seeing both from a kayak was special in a way I hadn’t anticipated. Thank you Heather for an epic morning above and below the waves. The kayak snorkle trip with our guide katie was an unforgettable experience! I saw so many variety of fish and sea turtles floating all around me. Make sure you ask your guide to take pictures underwater. Katie went above and beyond diving deep to get great pics with me and the turtles. And when i asked katie for island suggestions, she gave me a huge list of suggestions that i plan to go do!
Loved this experience! A small intimate group setting. A must do.

We had a wonderful time kayaking and snorkeling. All of the equipment was in great shape, and the check-in and get started procedures were a complete breeze. Our guide Katie was amazing and not only kept us safe and upright while kayaking and snorkeling but also imparted a lot of great knowledge of Hawaii and its culture. Not only did Katie lead us around the reefs to see a dozen or more turtles, we also were able to see 3 whales swimming together near our kayaks. Great experience and would definitely recommend. Thanks Katie!

Had an amazing experience with our guide Heather. She was patient, caring, and provided a great education on Hawaii. We even lucked out and saw a Manta Ray! Would highly recommend HPS and even more so Heather as your guide!

Our private whale watch with Heather at Hawaiian Paddle Sports was, without question, the most magical experience of our week in Maui.
Being out on the water in a kayak is completely different than being on a boat. It was so still and quiet that at one point we could faintly hear the whale songs from above the surface. That alone felt surreal. We were floating in calm, glassy water with these majestic animals all around us. Whales were breaching in the distance, and at one unforgettable moment, a pair swam right underneath our kayaks. It was breathtaking in the truest sense of the word.
Heather was incredible. Knowledgeable, calm, and clearly so passionate about what she does. I loved learning more about the whales themselves and also hearing about Hawaiian culture and the deep respect for the ocean and its wildlife. It made the entire experience feel even more meaningful.
As if it couldn’t get better, we saw a sea turtle on our paddle back to shore.
Hands down our favorite Maui experience of the week. Peaceful, powerful and absolutely unforgettable. If you’re considering it, book the private tour. It’s something we will never forget.
