Honestly, just OK. Nothing special or rave about. First attempt to try Huli Huli Chicken failed as we got there around 3 pm and they were sold out. Second attempt was a success - we got there just before noon and they had plenty. We ordered combo, famous chicken and pork. Chicken was too dry for my taste and didn't really have any flavor - whole chicken from Costco tastes similar in my opinion. Cabbage was good - just like I like it. Pork was good though, not dry and tasty. And I am a chicken person, so it feels weird to write this review.
Side salad and rice were good - not a lot but enough. We actually ended up sharing one portion as it was enough for two adults! The price was about $26 I believe when we visited.
Sitting area is small. We ended up in the tent further from the food stand. There were too many flies to enjoy. There were also some homeless people in tents which didn't look pretty.
Overall it was that type of experience where you can say - been there, done that, don't need to repeat.
Side note - there are not many options for food in that area, so I guess having cooked hot meal is a huge plus!

This is a great stop for lunch on your Road to Hana journey. They were super generous. Great for people with gluten free issues. Delicious. Meat was seasoned great. Food was hot and fresh. Free condiments are available.

I had high expectations, and if Iโm being honest, I wasnโt wowed. First attempt on our โRoad to Hanaโ trip, got there around 3:20pm and they were sold out. Had planned to leave early morning the next day but I really wanted to try this place so we changed our plans to get this for lunch. Chicken was pretty good- moist and smoky flavor. Rice and side salad were not great. Rice was dry and salad tasted like it could have used another rinse and needed more dressing. Nice view sitting by the water to eat.

Great little stop on the road to Hana. Many good food trucks on the way but we knew we wanted to try this. The portions are huge and the chicken was so moist and flavorful not to mention the incredible view of the red sand beach. Such an amazing stop on this already amazing road trip! Love it so much!

Boom! ๐ฅ
Well, worth the drive, and the wait!
The chicken was tender, moist, and super tasty .
They joke about uncle Russellโs famous sauce as a comeback sauce, as in youโre gonna wanna come back. Agree.
Oh, and the view eating that chicken was VIP!
