Great restaurant, food was absolutely amazing and Dominic’s service was top-notch. We enjoyed everything. The only thing to be aware of is that it’s a bit warm inside. There’s no air-conditioning; it’s all open-air ventilation, so if the weather’s hot and humid you’ll likely be sweating a little.
The valet setup was also surprising. After we parked, they asked us to pull the car up so someone else could park it, literally in the same lot, maybe 20 feet away, just to collect a tip. That felt unnecessary, especially after spending well over $100 per person.
Aside from those quirks, we highly recommend this spot. Every fish dish we tried was incredible, and the crab cakes were even better than any I’ve had in Boston.

We took my father here to celebrate his 61st birthday and it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. As we were walking to the restaurant on the sand path beneath the palm trees, he cried. It is literally that beautiful. The food was very good. The appetizer we ordered was nothing to write home about, but the entrees and dessert (do the chocolate pie; it’s otherworldly) were excellent. While you’re there, don’t skip over looking at the floral arrangements and reading the history of the restaurant in the front by the hostess stand.

Not to be missed when visiting Maui—it was hands down the best meal we had on this trip to Hawaii. Everything was simply delicious! We had a table by the window with a fantastic view of the palm trees and the small beach outside. I booked months in advance and was only able to secure a table for lunch.

Mama’s Fish House is, without a doubt, the most incredible restaurant I’ve ever visited. The food was exceptional—every dish exceeded my expectations in both flavor and presentation. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the atmosphere. With its breathtaking oceanfront view, the setting feels like something out of a picturesque dream—so scenic and serene, it’s almost otherworldly. You can’t help but feel like you’ve stepped into a little piece of paradise.
The staff were equally wonderful—genuinely warm and attentive.
Our server, Dominick, was fantastic. He offered thoughtful recommendations, was incredibly accommodating, and made sure our entire experience was seamless and special.
I couldn’t be happier we chose to come here. It’s a place that captures your heart and senses, and it’s absolutely worth every penny.

It's good, but a one and done type of place. We went for the chocolate pearl dessert. The portion size is larger than I expected, which helps justify the price. They source very fresh food (menu is printed daily), but I couldn't tell the difference between fresh or frozen, so fresh fish doesn't mean much for me.
Did not like the check being brought to the table 1 minute after getting our desserts. We were told "no rush", and it was barely past 7pm, but if there's no rush there's no reason to bring us the check.
