For food, the guest favorites crusted Kanpachi and fish curry are the favorites for a reason - they are both must haves!
For appetizers the fish collars were so unique and delicious, the ahi cru was so incredible and fresh.
For dessert the banana nut crisp is wonderful. The black pearl is stunning and delicious.
Great mocktails and cocktails as well.
Mama’s Fish House is the kind of restaurant that epitomizes hospitality and welcome. We had a major issue during our meal (nothing related to the food) and Hana and the rest of the team absolutely bent over backwards to make our experience right. Truly they did everything in their power to fix the situation and make sure we had an amazing experience. I truly can’t describe how special and cared for they made us feel.
Even if something goes wrong, Mama’s will absolutely make it right.
Absolute fantastic experience not to be missed, please go!

Mama’s Fish House exceeded every expectation! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beautiful atmosphere, stunning ocean views, tropical surroundings, and an inviting Hawaiian charm that made the entire experience feel special.
The service was exceptional from start to finish. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel like valued guests throughout our meal.
The food was absolutely outstanding. The Mama’s Uku, Ahi, and Mahi-Mahi Curry were all incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the Crispy Whole Fish, and it was phenomenal! crispy, delicious, and beautifully presented. We also loved the Coconut Milk Refresher (without tequila), which was refreshing, creamy, and the perfect complement to our meal.
A couple of things to keep in mind: reservations are highly recommended, as this is one of Maui’s most popular restaurants and tables can be difficult to get without planning ahead. It is also on the pricier side, but the quality of the food, exceptional service, and unforgettable setting make it well worth it for a special occasion or memorable dining experience.
Every dish showcased the freshness and quality that Mama’s Fish House is famous for. Between the amazing food, outstanding service, and unforgettable atmosphere, this was truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Maui. We can’t wait to return!

Mama’s in Maui was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Rachel gave us amazing service and made the entire experience feel welcoming, fun, and memorable. The espresso martinis were perfection, and every dish we ordered was outstanding.
The oysters were fresh and delicious, the Macadamia Nut Crab Cakes were packed with flavor, and the Shrimp Wontons appetizer was one of the best appetizers we’ve had in a long time. For the main dishes, the Antarctic Toothfish was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth, and the ahi was incredibly fresh and flavorful.
Beautiful atmosphere, amazing food, and top-notch service from Rachel. Easily one of our favorite dining experiences in Maui — we can’t wait to come back!
Scenic and Great seafood restaurant! Among the finest ones I’ve been to. Every dish here truly stood out and had some of the freshest seafood I’ve tasted. We tried the mahi-ahi curry and the Hawaiian kanpachi stuffed with scallops and lobster which were both fantastic. To add- this place is quite accommodative to vegetarians and customized one of our dishes with tofu which was refreshing to see (you would be surprised how many similar restaurants fail to do it). The oyster pearl dessert was quite unique and a great ending to our meal. Reservations here are hard to find but this one surely lived up to the hype. Right when we got to the parking lot of Mama’s Fish House, our car doors were immediately opened and we were greeted with a nice smile and service. We walked around the beach and took some photos, even the beach was clean. They had great spots to take photos as well as nice views for the background photos. We sat down for a bit and were entertained by some photos of people who had caught massive fish. We were then called and sat down at a very nice table. We got a good view from where we sat. We were served by I believe was brad, he gave us great attention all throughout the night. He explained every dish with no rush and with lots of detail. Overall, we were already starting well. The drinks were amazing. The entrees were my family’s favorite, they were great and very tasty. I really recommend the seafood soup, it really was the highlight of the night, so was the passion fruit crème brûlée. What a great experience! Everything had such a wonderful taste and great quality. May I add everything was soooo fresh! They even had the date on the menu..I was stunned.
