Saw a shirt I liked at one location but didn't have my size. Employee told me that Cannery Mall location may have it and said there was a coupon online for 20%.
Went to Cannery Mall location with coupon, the item was on sale (only indicated by orange price tag). I went to check out and the clerk told me store policy was no coupons on sale items. I showed her the coupon which excluded jewelry and promotions but didn't mention excluding sale or discounted items and I told her that their employee told me to use the coupon. When I tried to explain she just ignored me and rang up the item (without coupon). I only had cash (enough to pay discounted price, tax...) as I had come from the beach with no wallet. I left without the shirt. Three days later I called from home to try to buy it anyway and they can't send pictures to ensure it is the proper shirt nor will they honor the coupon. Additionally they want to charge me $13 to ship (it could ship for $2). If it weren't for poor customer service they would have sold the shirt and had a satisfied customer who could send them more business. Instead they don't seem to care and lean on "store policy" which isn't explained anywhere to the customer but is the only reply when communicating with them.
Too bad...... the store had many nice items appropriate for Hawaii.
