I’ve rented a hardtop longboard from this place both last year and this year, and each time it was a great experience! The rental is $40 per day (from 7:00 AM to 2:45 PM) and includes booties and a rash guard.
There’s a cove right across the street from the surf school — just a 5-minute walk. The bottom is pretty rocky, so booties are definitely a must.
The surf conditions are perfect for beginners or longboarders who just want to enjoy long, smooth waves. They offer private and small group lessons throughout the day.
Next time, I’m planning to do a one-on-one lesson with an instructor — so they can help push me into the waves and give some tips. Learning from someone who really knows how to surf is always a great idea!

The best experience! 10/10 recommend. The community this place has built is amazing and so welcoming. The instructors are so knowledgeable and helpful. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else to surf or learn how to surf. Their photographer comes out and takes pictures for purchase and they are very reasonably priced and 100000% worth it!!!

I absolutely love this place. Every time I come to visit my 'ohana on the island I rent a board here. I learned from Ina (boobieshack) on insta but every time I run into the instructors in the cove they are the kindest and most aloha spirited humans. Someone from this shop I think took this photo or is connected to the shop I believe took this photo of me when I was surfing. I was sobbing as my Godfather was undergoing emergency heart surgery and had just caught a wave after the first two being a giant miss and felt good I had honored my promise to catch some waves while he was missing out because of the surgery. Mahalo to every who works here and who I have met on the water, y'all are the most special kind of people and I have so much respect for each of you.

Our children (age 6, 9) and my husband tried the surfing lesson here. My 6 year old had a private lesson with Noa, and my husband and a 9 year old had a semi private lesson with Kekoa. They had an amazing time! It was an absolute first time for our daughters to try surfing but the beach was very shallow and they were not scared. The teachers were so engaging and encouraging! Noa would clap for her every time she was able to stand on the board, and Kekoa was showing her really cool moves to keep it fun! Both of our kids said it was the best part of their Maui trip!! The professional photos they took for us were great quality also!

Our surf lesson today was so much fun! My husband and I were both complete beginners and we were still able to catch waves. Our instructor Zoom was great! He explained everything very well. We both left feeling super happy. Highly recommend!
