This place is way overhyped in my opinion! The wait is crazy even if you make reservations. The menu is very limited for vegetarians and chicketarians. I got the chicken wings and they had a 5 star rub. The accompanying yogurt dip had an herby taste with a hint of blue cheese. I definitely recommend this appetizer. The only pizza option was the mushroom Truffle. It was super plain in taste. It's also pretty small. The famous mai tai was not epic in my opinion. It did get better after the ice melted. One of us commented that olive gardens tastes better. The bar misses much excitement especially since there is a long wait time.

Monkeypod was an absolute gem during our trip to Maui. We stopped in for dinner and were blown away by both the food and the service. The fish sandwich was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, flaky and tender inside, with fresh toppings that brought it all together. The seared ahi tuna was a standout: expertly done, full of flavor, and beautifully plated.
For dessert, we couldnโt resist the strawberry pie, and thank goodness we didnโt. It was light, fresh, and just the right amount of sweet. A perfect finish to the meal.
Service was top-notch: friendly, attentive, and relaxed, exactly the aloha spirit you hope for. Live music was great. Whether youโre visiting or a local, this place hits the mark. Highly recommend!

This place completely lived up to the hype! Everything we orderedโfrom the jalapeรฑo pizza to the fresh fish sandwich and tacosโwas bursting with flavor and made with care. The ingredients tasted fresh, locally sourced, and thoughtfully paired.
Service was on pointโfriendly, fast, and super knowledgeable about the menu. The vibe inside was lively and modern, with just the right mix of chill and upscale. You can tell this place takes pride in every detail.
Monkeypod is a must-visit if youโre in Wailea and craving great food with an island twist.

We went twice. Once for dinner and once for happy hour. Both times, the place was excellent. With a reservation, there was zero wait. We went to the reservations desk and were seated immediately. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. The chicken wings appetizer was top notch with a whipped feta and yogurt dip that is perfect to save and use for your pizza crusts. Ahi poke tacos were also very good. The lobster deviled eggs were good but not worth the cost, so I probably wouldn't order them again. For our entrees, the gnocchi were beyond incredible and stole the show. The catch of the day special was delicious, and the fish and chips were cooked perfectly with an interesting malt vinegar aioli. Saiman was our least favorite. For happy hour, the mushroom truffle pizza was excellent, and everyone loved it. The Hawaiian kalua pork pizza was a close second. The Moroccan lamb sausage pizza was a distant third but still very good.

Weโve heard such good things and had high hopes but unfortunately our experience was just okay. The service was good - everyone was friendly and helpful. The outside seating was comfortable and relaxing.
Our drinks and apps were pretty quick, though we had a longer wait for the mains. And most of the food left something to be desired. The fish sandwich was small and for the price, should include a side. The mac but crusted fish was very salty, as were the greens. The rice was very dry. We were excited about the taro ravioli but all we could taste was butter and herbs - no taro flavor at all.
The cocktails were delicious and worth having a few. Iโm sure the food is usually good as all of our friends have loved it. We just lucked out on our visit.
