First time here. We sat at the sushi bar and it was perfect because it was better seats for us to be closer face to face and enjoy each other's company. Sashimi platter was excellent, fresh and delicious. Homemade ice creams (black sesame and matcha) was better then I expected.

Spectacular food, ambiance, and service. My sister and I came at 5:30 after our trip to Hana and were sat around 6:05. Tip: get there early and put your name on the list because the couple behind us was told there was a 1.5 - 2 hour wait. As there should be honestly and it is SO worth it.
Our waiter was excellent and attentive and the food came out incredibly quickly. We have almost perfected our order at Nuka and it is always such a special occasion when we decide to dine here. Here goes:
We had the Dragonfly roll, spicy garlic edamame, furikake crusted seared ahi, tempura shrimp udon (will be ordering the miso cream pasta next time though), black sesame ice cream (ICONIC), and miso ice cream (our first time trying and it was SO GOOD WOW). I cannot say enough good things about Nuka. It is a must go whenever I come home.

Nuka in Haiku offers a cozy, stylish setting with a menu that leans into Japanese classics. While the sushi and rolls were just okay โ fresh but not particularly memorable โ the meat skewers really stood out. Perfectly grilled and full of flavor, they were a great surprise and easily one of the best parts of the meal.
The real highlight, though, was the miso cod - buttery, tender, and deeply satisfying. It alone is worth coming for. Service was solid and the space has a nice ambiance, making it a good choice if youโre in the area and looking for a relaxed dinner with some standout bites.

Dined here many many times. The food was always amazing, some of my favorite cocktails, and there has almost always been high quality fish. The waitlist operation is inconvenient, but if youโre willing to get through that then bear in mind you will be treated unkindly by the servers. On multiple occasions I have had horrible service. Itโs hard to say how many times iโve actually enjoyed any service iโve received here aside from the people that ran the food. Servers are miserable, rude, stuck up, and they do not have any sense of recovery after being rude. Itโs unfortunate that I donโt have it in me to leave a bad tip so iโll always leave 20%, but after my last negative interaction, I will never be returning. Itโs unfortunate as the food and drinks are great, sushi chefs are talented, the food runners are nice and friendly, but your server staff is consistently rude and ruins the entire experience. Donโt come here if you want decent service.

As we went to the Road of Hana to explore the Twin Falls we discovered this Japanese restaurant was on the way there. Food was excellent. Cute little place. Staffs were wonderful. Sashimi was fresh. Our tummy satisfied.
