Food, ambience, and service were all a solid four out of five. We started with the Brussels sprouts and Szechuan ribs—both were very good and much larger portions than expected. Would definitely order both again.
For mains, we had the butterfish and the grilled catch of the day with shrimp. The butterfish was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, though the overall presentation was more of a four than a five. The grilled catch was fine, but not especially memorable.
The chocolate ganache cake was excellent, though we were disappointed that decaf espresso wasn’t available. We’d return, but next time would likely sit at the bar for drinks and appetizers.

Stopped in without a reservation and were greeted by a courteous hostess. We sat at the bar, and the kitchen was accommodating with a special request for my husband, which was appreciated.
He had the mahi mahi, and I ordered the Blackened Island Ahi—both were well executed and flavorful. The Brussels sprouts and beet salad were also very good. Overall, the food was consistently solid and the experience relaxed and professional.
A reliable choice in Kaanapali, and we would return

Christian was our server and he was absolutely phenomenal to say the least. He was so knowledgeable about the area, and the menu itself. He was so personable, and made our experience something to remember as we are traveling. He brought extra sides of sauces we loved without being asked just because he thought we would enjoy it that much more, was super proactive about refills or anything to enhance our experience, and even chatted with us about the island and his activities outside of it. I’ve never had service like this, especially in Maui and will be giving this restaurant and the server as a recommendation in the future. We love it here! The calamari, macadamia nut fish, and catch of the day was amazing. 10/10 experience, ask for Christian!!!!

Just what you'd expect of the legendary Ray's. We've been to Poipu Grill and several on the mainland as well, and this location did not disappoint.
We asked the server for a recommendation which he provided, but when we said, "we are thinking about the cioppino," he immediately responded, "get the cioppino."

The food was outstanding! Great selection to choose from as well. Our server was very attentive and super fun! Great place for a date night for sure!
