This Safeway is a huge store where you can get almost anything.
They have all kinds of daily necessities, fresh produce, and even ready-to-eat dishes including Chinese food.
It’s really convenient!

Had to delete my first post to make a second one. You can read my first review here. So 5 days later and there's still ants in the doughnuts. Im assuming the response from owner was an ai response. So clearly no one ehter knows about the ants still or no one cares. Im sure I'll get a generator response along the lines of we take your review seriously and actions will be taken. Nothings going to be done. If you want ants in your doughnuts this is the place.

Smells funny and staff was very rude. Not to mention high prices on everything. This place sucks and should be closed down these items are definitely a product of price gouging and should be shamed

I've been coming to lahaina Safeway for 33 years. Lately I am noticing less cashiers, longer lines at the self check out and prices rising faster than anywhere else. I am expected now to do the work of a cashier, constantly having to wait for the single worker they have manning the 10 machines to come back and use her card to help me with my purchase for random items. Then being finished and checked out, told that I should have purchased paper bags. Left with items in the cart looking like I am robbing the place. It's gone severely downhill and I am not happy about the price hikes and lack of service and having to shop now on an app prior to coming to get the discounts we used to just get with our phone number.

You would get everything here for those who want to save some money and cook in a kitchenette equipped hotel rooms.
Still very expensive from mainland Safeway, but lot better than eating out every night, which would probably cost about $100 for 2 people.
