Movie night was so fun!
Was texted before that no drinks or food is allowed to be brought in and was a little upset when the staff told the people behind us that you could bring water and food in after I texted that day to check what was and wasnt ok. There is a bar there for alcoholic options.
We got dinner there but wasnt impressed with the food. The best choice seemed to be the bangers and mash, small sausages. The fish and chips were tiny and my friend thought they were chicken but then someone by us said it was mahi mahi. The veggie curry had tofu one piece of onion and 2 tiny cubes of red pepper smothered in curry sauce over rice, the curry flavor was amazing but was disappointed in the fact that it was "veggie curry" and there werent any veggies, also that it had tofu in it without being told that. Prices high for the quality and quanity of boxed up food. Would recommend bringing your own food. Sadly disappointed in the food with it being a wedding event center.
Other than that the event was great! Movie was perfect. Staff was kind.

We recently photographed a few weddings here, and can without a doubt, say that this is pretty much the perfect wedding venue. On top of the staff being top notch, the mix of a big open (and air conditioned!) ballroom right on the beach with grass AND sand AND palm trees AND sunset views.....what more could you ask for? We hope to document many more weddings here and could not recommend it enough!!

I have to admit that Sugar Beach was not our original venue. 4 days before our wedding day we found out the entire ceremony and reception had to be moved. We had already chosen Chef Lee to cater. Her food is simply the best. But also having a wedding venue made the change seamless and now I couldn't imagine having it anywhere else because it went perfectly. I mean there isn't anything I would change about it. The guests thought it was gorgeous and it is. The staff were like ninjas and your needs were always met. There was a perfect combination of indoor and outdoor space. Everyone simply had a magical time. Sunsets there are beautiful and the pictures we took look so good. We were able to do a tasting back in April and what impressed us about Chef Lee was that she not only made everything we requested, but she made it all gluten free. She was able to make our final menu entirely gluten free at our request. And it was delicious. Thanks for everything Sugar Beach! Best. Day. Ever.

We just toured this venue and couple of days ago and it was amazing. From the moment we parked to the time we left, we felt welcomed and everyone from the landscaper to the owner were lovely.
We look forward to getting married at this beautiful venue with wonderful people to support us. Mahalo ๐ค๐ฉต

We are so happy that we choose Sugar Beach Events! My husband and I knew we wanted a destination beach wedding but planning it from thousands of miles away made us very uncertain. However, we are so thankful when we found Sugar Beach Events and started working with Kristen. She was amazing and so easy to work with! As busy as we were, Kristen made sure we were on top of it all. She answered all of our questions (we had million questions!) and reassured us everything would work out. Our experience from start to finish was great. From the initial consultation via email to the day after our wedding (guests left items). We loved it all!
We were both a bit nervous on the our wedding day (hoping nothing goes wrong) but knowing Kristen was there made it all better. We felt like we did not have to worry. We can truly say that our wedding day was our kind of perfect and we would not have changed anything. From the beautiful venue and delicious food to the amazing staff members. Our guests raved about the food (especially the appetizers and popcorn).
All the staff members at Sugar Beach Events were very welcoming and kind to us and our guests. It seemed that they knew how overwhelmed the bride and groom could be and it felt as though they were looking out for us. During the reception, we found our sweetheart table filled with appetizers that we had not gotten a chance to try since we were busy talking to our family, friends and taking photos. They also added a very sweet touch to our special day by sending us off with two slices of our wedding cake, that we also did not get a chance to eat.
The place were staying at was only a feet away and so we took a little bit longer with our loud group to leave the venue but we did not feel rushed at all.
We cannot express how grateful we are for the amazing experience! We would like to thank Sugar Beach Events and the staff members for making our wedding day extra special. The venue felt magical and the staff was the perfect touch. I am getting a bit emotional just writing this review. Again, thank you!
