The crew at Surf Club Maui gave us an exceptional experience. We had 3 beginner surfers, but we all had a blast. David provided excellent guidance, allowing each of us to pop up and surf comfortably several times! After each try, David gave us personalized tips to improve. We even had a chance to learn how to paddle and catch our own waves. Kai was there to take amazing action photos (as you can see.)
If you’re looking for somewhere to learn, these guys are who you want to be with.
For those hesitant about coming to Maui, please do come. Without fail, everyone we’ve encountered has been so grateful to have us here. They need and want respectful visitors!

We had a fabulous experience with Surf Club Maui! Good vibes and fun people that had a good time doing their job. I highly recommend them. Everyone was so kind and friendly, from my first phone call to our last interaction one of the sincerely affable employees. David was our instructor and was so patient and knowledgeable. Thanks for a memorable time learning to rip it!

We can’t recommend Surf Club Maui enough!
Everyone there was so welcoming and positive. Our instructor John was awesome! We were on our honeymoon and once he found that out he wanted to help us capture this incredible shot of me and my hubby riding tandem!! Just amazing!! His first time surfing and we both caught nearly every single wave. Thank you guys so much, we made our honeymoon a blast!! Thanks for the sick photo John!!🏄♀️🏄♂️🤙🏼 great instruction!!

There are a lot of surf lessons to choose from. Surf Club Maui was beyond what we expected. They were welcoming, helpful and so patient with our 8yr old and 13yr old daughters. The photos they took were also beautiful. So worth it!

Scheduled a morning class for a family of 4 - M-48, F-48, M-18, M-16. Walter was an amazing teacher who truly loved teaching. He was able to get ALL of us up on boards and riding the waves. Our teenage sons caught on quickly with Walter’s guidance and they rank their surfing experience as #1 on their list of best experiences in Maui. They know where and when to be to make sure the experience is perfect. Another great thing about Surf Club Maui is on-site professional photographers. Kai (who has a magical ability to make even the most inexperienced moms look cool) was in the water snapping away, cheering us on, and capturing incredible memories that we couldn’t do ourselves. For a reasonable fee, we were able to purchase over 100 photographs of our 2-hour experience. The entire staff was patient and kind and were a hard-working, organized team. 5 stars, two thumbs up and SHAKA! 🤙
