OMG! A local individual advised us to check out Pranee's Thai and promised us we'd for sure appreciate the quality of the food served and we couldn't have been more delighted to enjoy the Thai cuisine personally cooked up by Pranee herself! We ordered the pad thai with shrimp, the drunken noodles with fried pork belly, and panang curry with mahi mahi. Everything was delicious, fresh, bursting with unique flavor, and portion sizes were more than generous! Please go to Pranee's Thai if you're in Hana. They're located by the school underneath the massive mango tree. You can't miss it! ❤️🤩

I live in NYC and this is the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Don’t miss it!! Crispy fish with mango salad is the best dish. The drunken crispy fish is delicious too, and the coconut soup. Fresh, perfectly cooked veggies, amazingly crispy fresh local fish, huge portions and low prices. WOW!

We had high hopes for this place given its great rating and positive reviews across different communities. I really wanted to enjoy the food, but perhaps we came at the wrong time, or maybe it was because they were out of the homemade chili sauce. We tried the drunken noodles and the signature Mahi & Cashew, but unfortunately both dishes felt a bit plain and greasy.

Never thought we’d find such great Thai food in such a remote place! Easily the best food we had in Hana at a very reasonable price. Located just behind the Hyatt Resort, this spot is a hidden gem. The Stir Fry Mahi Mahi with Cashew was absolutely mouth-watering — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. They also have excellent vegan options, which is a big plus. Highly recommend stopping here if you make it to Hana!

The food was amazing. Everything we ordered was incredible. The service however is another story.
I know this is one of those places you visit for the food. Not the service or ambience. Even that low standard was too high for the guy who took our order. It was as if we were highly inconveniencing him by placing an order. We asked if something could be made vegetarian which seemed to trigger him and he started muttering under his breath. Then we committed the ultimate sin of asking for a Thai ice tea with less ice. He proceeded to actually roll his eyes, increased muttering and snarky comments with his colleague. Then he just left the counter and we had to tap our card blindly without knowing what the billed amount was.
I am not quite sure if we bothered him with our 2 questions, or if he's having a bad day, or he's your regular racist who saves this level of service for people of some ethnicities.
