Food exceeded our expectations. Some of the best Thai food weโve ever had which isnโt what we were expecting. The portions are generous too which I really appreciated. Would recommend to anyone in the area. My favorite of our dishes was the ginger fried fish.
Took ours to go and ate at our campsite at the state park.

Pranee's has been around for a long time. 2019 was my initial visit.
ATMOSPHERE:
They've moved to a new location right next door to their first spot. The first location was a simple tented lanai, a bit dreary and damp. Their new location is much more inviting with a porch-like setting built up against the kitchen. Seating is a mix of low tops and counter. Parking is limited but street parking is available on either side of the property with a short walk.
MENU:
Beef, noodles, chicken, rice, fish, curry, soup, salad. They do not have sticky rice, only jasmine.
FOOD:
We ordered family-style though a single order can feed one to two people.
Spring Rolls
Four rolls come per order. They were of standard size, filling (pork and veggies) and taste. A sweet sauce came with for dipping but I ate mine plain.
Stir Fry Eggplant & Tofu
I'm not big on eggplant but my friend ordered this dish. I had some tofu which were nice and firm. The stir fry included veggies in a savory gravy and jasmine rice. I've never saw green eggplant before!
Stir Fry Chicken & Ginger
My choice for the table which was really good. Tender chicken slices and veggies in a savory gravy. It wasn't gingery as I had imagined regardless of the fresh chunks of ginger used. A small serving of jasmine rice came to the side but wasn't enough for two to share.
Green Papaya Salad
Not a huge fan of this either but the taste was there, a mix of sweet and slightly tart, with fresh and thinly cut slices of papaya and a copious amount of sauce.
SERVICE:
Order and pay at the cashier, grab a seat, wait for your number to be called, then pick up your food at the window. After you're done, it's clean up after yourselves. Why tips are expected are beyond me.
The male cashier was friendly, but he should've told us about the included rice with the dishes.
Food service was very quick despite it being fired-to-order!
TIPS:
A small portion of jasmine rice comes with most entrees, FYI. We ended up having too much rice as we ordered a side as we weren't told about the inclusion.
Cards accepted.
OVERALL:
All dishes are made to order and came out steaming hot as I watched the window continuously. Tasty and fresh food with fair pricing. A definite return!

Holy moly the food was amazing!!! I am an avid fan of Thai food and had tried many places but I am still craving this place's noodles and fried pork belly (drunken noodles). But beware it is quite spicy!! Be prepare for a wait and lack of tables. This place is popular.

Surprised she doesnโt have more reviews.. truly a hidden gem in Maui. Honestly the best Thai food Iโve ever had. Every time we come to Maui this place is a must visit.
All time favorites at this place:
1. Tom Kha (A soup with the perfect blend of creaminess, sourness, and umami)
2. Crispy fish with mango salad. ( the sweet/sour of the salad really complements the oily fat in the fried fish)
3. Panang curry with mahi
4. Drunken noodles
Honestly, everything is so good here Iโm sure you couldnโt miss with any dish. If she lived in Houston Iโd probably go here twice a week.
Parking is not an issue. She has a dirt/gravel lot right next to the restaurant that can fit 10+ cars
