This is always our first stop the moment we land in Maui. I'll order again online as we're getting our rental car so that it'll be ready for pick up by the time we get here. It is so close to the airport and has great food to have when you've been on a flight for 5 hours. This is a great spot to pick up some food before you hit the road to wherever you're staying.
Our go-to is always the Mochiko chicken and garlic noodles. The texture and crunch of the chicken is just amazing and there is so much flavor in each bite. I didn't know chicken could be this crunchy and tasty until trying this. The garlic noodles are solid, with a lot of garlic flavor, which I love.
If you want to avoid the wait, order ahead of time so you're less likely to be hangry. It is worth trying the food!

Great take out place for traditional Hawaiian fare. Place was very busy so best go on their website and pre-order your food and drink. Lots of parking but gets really busy at times. You can wait in your car and they will send you a text when your order is ready for pick up. Food was good with a big serving size. Like anything else in Hawaii, price was well, erm, pricey even for take out only but definitely hits the spot. You can eat in your car but there are public beaches nearby with picnic tables and great views.

This place lived up to its expectations. First of all, it is a pick-up only. You cannot even eat outside the restaurant. Pick up your order and go to Costcoโs food court or a nearby park. Donโt drive too far as cold dishes suck. In general, I donโt like sweet dishes, but this mochiko chicken is worth a try. Reasonable price and good portion. Order in advance so you donโt have to wait.

We ordered chicken and garlic noodle and another chop steak. Both dishes are tasty. However I feel it is on the greasy side. Would recommend but watch for the grease.

Stopped by Tin Roof and honestly left a little disappointed. The chicken had decent seasoning on top, but the sauce was not it, really heavy and the kind of flavor you get sick of very quickly. The rice was fine, but overall the bowl just didnโt come together the way I expected.
Also, thereโs no actual seating area or inside space. You order at the window outside, grab your food, and thatโs about it. Not very comfortable if you were planning to sit and eat there.
Iโd heard about this place since itโs run by Sheldon, the chef from Top Chef, which made me curious to try it. But honestly, the food didnโt live up to the hype.
Not the worst, but definitely not something Iโd go back for.
