We found out about this place from Sheldon from the Top Chef! And we're so glad we tried it!
The spicy chicken sandwich and the beet box were out of this world!! My husband said it was the best chicken sandwich in his life. And the beet box was warm and so filled with spices and flavor, it was spectacular.
The beef belly dish was very good as well, but the chicken and beet ones were the stand outs. Highly recommended and totally Top Chef quality!
Note, this is mainly takeout only - there are two small tables outside in the sun.

The chicken was amazing! The shrimp had a lot of flavor, but you had to eat the shell to enjoy the flavor which I’m not a fan of so that was a bit of a bummer. We tried the garlic noddles and were not so impressed. Lots of other people were raving about the poke so we will definitely have to come back and try that! There is not much seating available so it would be a good option to take to go. Great spot to hit right after getting off the plane!

We got Mochiko Chicken with Hapa rice which had a delicious sauce, my husband LOVED it, I also liked it a lot. We also got pork belly with garlic noodles which had a nice mix of vegetables, it was ok for me. Mac salad was also nice to have on the side for $2. Wait after ordering can take up to 10 minutes and the outdoor eating area can get crowded. A good stop though, recommended by a local, which is how I found it.

Used to be our favorite. Fried Noodle Saimin uses spam and no vegetables. Should use real meat.
Beet salad was very good. Kale salad is OK
Fish sandwich has too much mayo. Wish to have grilled fish.

Tin Roof is an absolute must try while in Maui. The restaurant is unassuming on the outside and has no indoor seating but do NOT let that deter you from going. The restaurant is definitely more of a casual take out place but the flavor that this place packs is up there with some fine dining restaurants. Specifically, the Mochiko chicken. I ate it once and found myself immediately hooked. I went back to this place two more times during my 1 week vacation because of how good the Mochiko chicken was. The dish is crispy, sweet, and savory and had be questioning how something could be so good. There are upgrades you can get with the dish like spicy or garlic noodles and if you can stomach the extra charge, they are definitely worth it. I would literally fly back to Maui to have this dish again. I also tried their fat chow fun and kale salad, all of which were good. Please go and support this place. Lots of their ingredients are also locally sourced and you can taste the freshness in the food.
