The lure of Maui is feeling Maui all around you and becoming a part of Maui. There is no better way to accomplish that than finding a Maui wave and riding that wave. And there is no better person to teach you that skill and understanding than Zack Howard at Zack Howard Surf. Both of my boys have taken several surf classes elsewhere. The kind where you spend 45mins on land learning how to stand, then 20mins paddling to the waves and 10mins riding a wave and then it’s over. Those are fun but once you leave, surfing was a cool thing you did. With Zack, you earn your fun and you feel a sense of accomplishment and surfing is something you wanna do again… asap. After one lesson with Zack, my older son wants to immerse himself into the one week surf package Zack offers while the younger one just got a taste of it. We had the absolute best experience with Zack, Sarah and their son Jack today. They taught our family of 11 how to surf! Our ages range from 45 to 7 and they were able to give attention to each one of us tweaking little things to help all of us catch waves! They were incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. We are so grateful for the experience and hope to come back again for round 2! We highly recommend!!

Zack, Sarah, and their son Jack were the best of the best! They met the needs of our entire family and everyone caught a wave! Zack gave great instructions, Sarah was attentive and held the safety of my 8 year old at high priority and were just dang fun! This was an absolutely the highlight of our Maui trip! 🤙🏼

My siblings and I did a private surf lesson with Zack. He was very nice, made sure we all felt confident and comfortable before going out into the water. He coached us through catching a wave and made sure we each got to surf two or more waves. Highly recommend Zack for surfing lesson, he is a great instructor!

Took group lessons with Zack Howard Surf and honestly it was so much fun. Zack was super chill and actually good at explaining stuff, so even if you've never surfed before you'll be fine. He made sure everyone got to catch waves and didn't make it feel rushed at all.
I stood up way sooner than I thought I would, which felt awesome. 10/10 would recommend, just go book it!
